An oil cooler wasn't really necessary at the time, but with future modifications it would be
needed and it can't hurt anyways. Installing it wasn't all that difficult, but I did run into some
problems after it was done. Twice I had to redo the fittings because of leaking. The first leak
was real bad and after the second time around it got better, but still leaked. Finally I got all
the leaking fixed.
I replaced all the fittings with AN fittings when I did the engine rebuild. The reason being that
I had to cut the existing hose when pulling the engine and with all the trouble I was having the
first time making the fittings leak free I decided to go to a better system.
