Modification: Perma-Cool Oil Cooler Last Updated: Saturday, May 25, 2008

An oil cooler wasn't really necessary at the time, but with future modifications it would be needed and it can't hurt anyways. Installing it wasn't all that difficult, but I did run into some problems after it was done. Twice I had to redo the fittings because of leaking. The first leak was real bad and after the second time around it got better, but still leaked. Finally I got all the leaking fixed.

I replaced all the fittings with AN fittings when I did the engine rebuild. The reason being that I had to cut the existing hose when pulling the engine and with all the trouble I was having the first time making the fittings leak free I decided to go to a better system.
